Caricatures by Theodore

My name is Theodore and I am from Bulgaria, a small beautiful piece in the Earth. I live in Kazanlak – the city of roses and ancient tracian kings. I have a wonderful girlfriend I hope she will be my wife soon.

I draw caricatures from my childhood; my father is a great humorist and took me to field of caricature early.

When I was 13 years old I began to study classical painting in college, and then continued at the University of Arts. I have participated and have won numerous awards in international cartoon competitions; I won my first prize when I was 15 years old

After many years of drawing cartoons with classical techniques such as watercolor and ink pen, the last years I discover the beauty of digital art. I like how can I handle the lines and see my work printed on various items, from the smallest accessories till giant billboards.

Caricatures by Lou

I am Lou. I live in the Seattle area and I love the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I am married with no kids.

I've been drawing live caricatures at events since 1995. In that time I've drawn caricatures for Microsoft, Starbuck's, Eddie Bauer, Boeing and numerous other companies. I earned a degree in graphic design and since then, I've been doing digital work using a combination of pen & ink combined with Photoshop.

I think my style is constantly changing. I'm constantly studying different styles of caricature to further define my style.

There are two quotes Bruce Lee said that sums it up best:

"Art is the expression of the self. The more complicated and restricted the method, the less the opportunity for expression of one's original sense of freedom."

"Use only that which works, and take it from any place you can find it".

That's what I strive to do every day to become a better caricature artist.

The thing I like most about mu style is that I strip away the nonessentials and simplify the caricature, instead of overcomplicating it.

The thing love most about doing caricatures is the joy caricature brings to people’s lives.

Caricatures by John

My name is John and I live in Wells, United States. I’ve illustrated something or other all my life. So after taking a break for fifteen years as a police officer, I decided to go into business for myself and pursue what I’ve always enjoyed most……illustration through the art of airbrush. I wasn’t sure an airbrush was for me until I tried one back in the early eighties. After that I was hooked and couldn’t get enough information on the subject. In 1989 I started AIRBRUSH ART doing portraits and traveling up and down the east coast displaying my wares. In the mid-nineties I expanded my business to include ATTORNEY DISPLAYS allowing my previous profession to make a mark in the illustration world. I’ve added other services to my business which includes book and magazine cover illustration, logos, political cartooning and caricatures. In 2000 I partnered as an independent with the Great Escape Amusement Park in upstate New York doing caricatures for visiting guests while maintaining an active role in pursuing my illustrative business. Of course computers have jumped in during that time making for some very creative opportunities. I utilize whatever is available to create the ultimate finished product for each and every client. I have recently teamed up with INTERNET CREATIONS, a full service web design company to expand additional services to my clients.

Caricatures by Jody

I am Jody and I lived in Kelowna B.C for the past 4 months. I have no kids and live with my husband. I started doing caricatures around half a year ago with friends and family, most of the work I've done is mainly for practice. I was mostly doing tattoo design and fantasy art for clients as well as some pet portraits.

My style is of Japanese manga/anime and it depends on the image, my mood or client whether it is Chibi (small body with big eyes, less detail) or normal (relativity well per-portioned)

I was looking for an online job and I found site that were specialized in promoting freelance artists. I thought why not try it...and that's how I found Caricaturetoons.com

I find caricatures easier to draw then making something up completely from scratch, I'm not sure why but it seems I get things done faster with them.

I haven't been with Caricaturetoons long, but I’m sure that I'll have lots of fun!

Caricatures by Janiel

My name’s Janiel and I lived in Philippines. I was just a student, a college student and I get into caricature when I was in high school. My friends pay me for their caricature version of their selves. Well about my family, I lived with my mom, dad and two annoying sisters. I am the only guy in the family except for my dad. About my art background, drawing is my hobby, I love drawing into my notes, doodling while listening to my teacher. I have an odesk and I work doing cartoons, arts, etc. I am a graphic artist. My style is so different from the others... more cute, more unique and I guess more anime than the others. I am happy with my style and hopefully people will like it too. What I like in doing caricature is the fact that I can play with my imagination and the other one is the reaction of the people when they see the caricature version of them. I love the way they laugh when they see it and the way they liked it, it was so epic for me.

Caricatures by Albert

I am Albert and I live in San Jose Jagobiao, Mandaue City Cebu, Philippines 6014

I am married and have 2 kids, a boy and a girl. I started doing caricatures in 2003 when I first saw MAD magazines and some of my office-mate asked me to do it for him as his present for her girlfriend. My styles are mixed with graffiti with thick outlines vector style illustration.

I enjoy playing with the facial, pose and concepts also it's fast and easy money.

Caricatures by Charlie

My name is Charlie and I live in Tucson Arizona. I’ve always wanted to be an illustrator ever since childhood. I did my first caricature for the high school newspaper. It was for an editorial on wrestling and depicted the wrestling coach. I got in real hot water with the coach over that, but my journalism teacher backed me up. All in all it was a very encouraging experience.

I’m recently re-married have 24 year old boy/girl twins and a 28 year old Daughter from previous marriage.

I majored in fine art with the University of Illinois. My first art job was creating hand painted signs for outdoor advertising. I later worked as a textile designer for fifteen years. I started freelancing full-time about two years ago and besides caricatures; I design textiles such as throws, tapestries, and upholstery. I also design 3d sculpted metal products such as belt buckle, medallion, and coins using 3d software.

I created period piece hand painted billboards for the TNT movie “White Heat” and I illustrated birds for the iBird app for the iPhone.

Everyone has a unique nose, chin, eyes and headshape. I look at those things on a person and see what makes that person unique. I then exaggerate those features. What I like most about doing caricatures is bringing out the personality and life energy of the subject.

I’m new to Caricaturetoons, but my experience has been very positive. They are very supportive.
